Questions
Is this the real exam?
No. The questions are built from the official PSI calculations outline. None of them are real exam questions, and we never ask anyone for real exam questions.
Do I need my code book?
No. Each question gives you the code values it needs, with their section numbers, so you can practice the method on your phone. The real exam is open book, and there you look the values up yourself.
Why the 2026 code?
Texas electrician exams moved to the 2026 NEC on September 1, 2026. Some values and section numbers changed, so older practice material may not match the exam.
How are the answers checked?
Every answer is calculated by our software from code values we checked by hand against the 2026 edition. Each value in a question shows its section, so you can look it up. If you spot an error, email passthecalcs@gmail.com.
Is it free? Do I need to sign up?
It is free, with no signup and no account. Your email is optional: leave it only if you want the worked solutions and 5 more practice problems.
Does it work in Spanish?
Yes. The whole check is in English and Spanish, with the same section numbers. The real exam is also offered in English and Spanish at no extra cost; you choose when you schedule it.
Is it for the master exam too?
The check follows the journeyman calculations outline. The master outline has the same main topics, with more questions on services and on motors.
